we must say that it was a sucess from the point of view of the impact originated.

i believe that the older you are the harder it is to leave the watchtower.. .
i am attempting to get a list of ages people learnt the "truth" and what age they left.. .
uun.
My mother started studying when I was 8 and I completed my fade after discovering TTATT at age 48...so 40 years wasted in this cult.
I was baptized at age 15, mainly to please my mom. I nearly left around my 30th - became inactive, but still believed it was "the truth". I checked out a few BBS sites (early internet) but soon stumbled upon much bitterness and decided not to pursue. One elders visit was enough to draw me back.
This is why I strongly urge others to devote some time to (prayerful) reading and research so as to convince themselves it is NOT the truth and to be able to leave without guilt or fear. Also, though bitterness is a normal PCTS process, it is best not to get stuck here - as this works counterproductive in helping others.
from the wt summarry- .
remember this day 6/8/2014.
kcmo rc of jws.
Millions then living are now dead.
my dad came into the jw's because someone studied the "creation" book with him.
it pains me deeply that he sent me an e-mail recently saying that to keep the peace with my mom, he will stop communicating with me as much as possible.
i should communicate with him only if i have an emergency.. it upsets me to no end, but i cannot do anything or much about it.
Here a great document containing all (mis)quotes from the current "Origin of Life" brochure:

i'm not talking about a individual, but a congregation as a whole.. i'm talking about a brother or sister that really hit hard times.. have there ever been an occasion where the brothers (elders).
decided to dip into the kh funds and help one in need????.
example, brother loose his job, get evicted, family of four or.
In the 40 years I was in, I have seen a lot of good things happen mainly on an individual basis. There were also the few who organized things somewhat larger - perhaps having a group the size of a bookstudy help someone out with something...but never at congregation level and certainly not out of congregation funds.
I have had discussions with pioneers "complaining" they did not have time to care enough for the sick and elderly, as they would otherwise fall short on their hours. I suggested they stop pioneering and focus on what really matters - didn't go down to well.
A lot is be warm and well fed, but there are some very sincere caring individuals.
conversation with an elder...i said " did you watch due south yesterday" and he said " ive got far more important things to do".
i mean that comment of his got me to thinking and wondering, and made me see he was missing out on living..and i think that comment was the straw that broke this boys faith, and started my i dont want to be a witness anymore.
kind of wierd how a simple question opened my eyes.. and now as i write this i am watching " the rebel" a 1950s western series, and its great and its even better my 9 year old is watching with me..and there is nothing more important than being happy.. .
Braces - I didn't get them as a kid - Armageddon was so near (1975), so got them myself when I started working as a young adult (23) - now 30 years ago!!!
just heard from an elder.
he told me that there is another change to be announced in august.
he didn't know more about it.. any other info?.
Oppostate said: "In August 2014 there's a worldwide campaign to advertise JW.Org. JW's will be distributing brochures explaining JW.Org"
With this in mind, perhaps the public versions of the WT/AW will no longer be in print, just downloadable.
The cart witnessing does not offer the magazines, just the Bible teach book. Dubs are now also allowed to report tracts, so the need to report magazines has become somewhat obsolete.
hello there i am new to the faith and have been studying for about a month.

Thank you Ownaccord. Really appreciate you taking the trouble to post this.
my daughter will be getting married this coming august.
she and her future husband are not jehovah's witnesses.
they will have a non-religious wedding ceremony.
It is HER day and she should invite who SHE wants. If this means others will decline, that is THEIR problem. It is also NOT YOUR day, so allow her to invite who SHE wants and do how SHE wants. If some pharisees decide not to come - shame on them.
